Exercise Physiology and Prescription is the understanding how exercise affects various physiological systems, in particular your musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiovascular system. We aim to optimize, improve, facilitate and rehabilitate in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. We address not only on what but how you do it!
During your Initial Consultation we focus on your specific needs based on history and current physical state in order to meet your goal and target, using a variety of techniques and equipment based on your Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Pilates, Movement Principles, Breathing Technique, Relaxation and gentle hands-on mobilization or stretching as well as re-education of motor concepts, replacing past movement patterns with new ones!
We design your home exercise programs, teach, practice or restore functional movement, monitor your progress in order to assist independence and long-term maintenance. If land based exercises aren’t suitable we also offer Hydrotherapy solutions.

Exercise physiology deals with the musculoskeletal system and physiological effects of exercise and designing exercise programs for any stages from sub-acute (4 weeks post injury, surgery) to chronic conditions. Primary delivery method are through instructions, teaching and education with some hands on technique to assist with resistance, mobilization and stretching. The client is ACTIVELY involved and engaged in the therapy.
Physiotherapy focuses on diagnosis of injury, restoring movement and function through various treatments such as manual therapy, manipulation, electrotherapy, dry needling, exercise education for acute to chronic conditions. The client can be either passive or actively engaged.
Chiropractic focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, i.e. spinal health and alignment through manual manipulation techniques. The primary delivery is passive for the client. They may also provide advice on posture, ergonomics, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall health and prevent future problems.
At the beginning it is about taking your history, understanding the issue and developing a strategy to address it. There will be a physical assessments and involvement on your part, however the brain is often just as much involved as the rest of the body.

It is always best to be in ‘workout gear’, fitted clothes, singlet or shirt and short or leggings. You can always bring your own towel, however, mats are covered and equipment is cleaned after each use.
